Drones are the new trend in technology, transportations, photography, and many other industries. The idea of droneports are a new concept of a building that launches drones and provides hanger space for these valuable miniatures.
In this project as well, appears a landing area, a hanger space for up to at least twenty drones, and a fabrication lab that can produce these drones as well as being used for repairs and maintenance. The building is also a civic attraction that could act as a place for gatherings and events.
The proportions of space are made to be most efficient and easy to build as possible with regards to available local methods and materials to serve the community and its purpose in the best way possible.
This high-tech design and high tech makers lab rests in a low tech building which has minimal site disruptions and is build with respect and according to the shape of the site.
Low priced, local material is used to put the structure together and cutting edge methods are suggested to provide storm proofing and weather proofing for these low tech bamboo walls and roofing.
The building stands on a large slab or rock that is located in the north-east of Mwanza in the country Tanzania, south of Lake Victoria.
